This guide outlines the system requirements and firewall configuration needed to install and use Signiant Server in your organization.
Signiant Server software provides an endpoint for Jet transfers and Media Shuttle on-premises storage, such as a local disk, NAS, or SAN.
Note: Supported operating systems should not be accessed using Parallels.
Your server must be synchronized to within 60 seconds of the accurate time. Information on configuring systems using global Network Time Protocol (NTP) servers can be found at ntppool.org.
The following ports are required by Signiant Server to perform transfers:
|MQTT/HTTPS||443||Outbound connections to transfer infrastructure|
|HTTPS||8443||Local Media Shuttle Storage Server connections|
|TCP/UDP||49221||Bidirectional connections to Media Shuttle Storage|
|TCP/UDP||50221||Bidirectional connections to Jet Server|
|TCP||61001-61003||Local connections for transfer infrastructure|
Note: On Windows, in addition to network setup on the firewall, the Windows firewall must be configured.
Signiant Servers use ports 49221, 50221, and 61001-61003 for monitoring, control and data transfer functions. No other software can use these ports on your storage server when using Signiant Jet.
The Signiant Server software makes HTTPS connections to the following domains:
