Joining the Signiant App Beta Program

You can access new Signiant App features before they are released to the public by downloading the latest beta release or by changing your application preferences to automatically download the latest available beta release.

To enable automated downloads:

macOS

  1. Quit the Signiant App and close the portal interface.
  2. In your terminal, navigate to ~/Library/Preferences/com.signiant.SigniantClient.json.
  3. Open the .json file using a text editor with root privileges.
  4. In the .json file, replace updates.signiant.com with beta.signiant.com.
  5. Delete the entire update-checked line.
  6. Save the file and restart the Signiant App.

Windows

  1. Quit the Signiant App and close the portal interface.
  2. In Windows Explorer, enter %APPDATA% and locate the Signiant/SigniantClient.json file.
  3. In the .json file, replace updates.signiant.com with beta.signiant.com.
  4. Delete the entire update-checked line.
  5. Save the file and restart the Signiant App.

The Signiant App automatically checks for updates from the beta program every 12 hours. To force an immediate update, edit the SigniantClient.json file and delete the update-checked line. The Signiant App then checks for an update after the next file transfer. A notification is displayed when the update is ready for installation.

To disable automated downloads of beta releases, edit the .json file to replace beta.signiant.com with updates.signiant.com.
